Chair’s Letter 2025-2026

Dear Yale women,

On July 1, 2025, the YaleWomen Governing Council began an exciting new 2025-26 term with ten new members. These amazing women represent diverse careers, demographics, skills, and ages, including recent graduates. Since July, council members have been incredibly busy connecting with regional chapters, hosting virtual events, collaborating with local clubs, and communicating with students and faculty members. Additionally, at the request of our members, we are also relaunching the YaleWomen YouTube channel (link), which serves as a repository for selected virtual programs, featuring a wide range of topics from our own and co-sponsored events, covering everything from career transition to healthcare to AI.

In late September, we sent out a survey to hear from current members and reach out to Yale women who have yet to join us. We are incredibly grateful for our members’ support and always welcome your suggestions on how we can improve. If you have not yet had time to complete the survey (link), we hope you will find a moment in the coming weeks to do so.

In 2026, YaleWomen will celebrate its 15th anniversary. The Governing Council members are fully engaged in planning for the October 2026 YaleWomen Global Hybrid Conference, which will celebrate our accomplishments over the past 15 years and look ahead to our shared future.

It remains our passion to help connect, support, energize, and uplift women. As we work diligently on our initiatives, we remain focused on our overarching goal: to reach all Yale women. We are half of Yale, and just imagine how together we could use our collective power to support each other and move forward. With that in mind, I ask everyone to invite your Yale friends and classmates to join YaleWomen (link)!

Thank you all for your support.

With warm gratitude,
Carolyn Yao
Chair, YaleWomen Governing Council
