Dr. Anna Reisman will share the story of Yale School of Medicine’s Program for Art in Public Spaces. The program, created in 2018, has addressed how shared academic spaces can be made more welcoming to all members of our communities.

The group's initial charge was to take a critical look at the walls of the main building at the medical school and to reevaluate the historical portraits, some of which had been on the walls for more than a hundred years. Reisman will also describe research on how the historical portraits impacted medical students, both before and after these changes.
